I think that the reality is that woman and men have their place. Now don't get it twisted, I'm not one of those "old school" people but I DO have an appreciation for some of the "old school" ideaologies. Because at the end of the day, it's not just a "man's job to do this" or a "woman's job to do that", but the principle of partnership and what naturally attracts us to eachother as males and females.

As a man, u lov the smell of a woman. She's feminine. She's clean (or at least supposed to be). She takes care of me. She's sexy. All of this is true right? So why is it so hard for women to accept that to smell good and be clean and a caretaker goes hand in hand with cooking, cleaning the house, and being a good mom? In no way does that take away from our progression as women, but adds to the greatness that we are. We can hold down a $100,000 a year job, have a fly whip, cook our asses off, make sure our kids do all their homework and do it all while LOOKING FLY at the same time. Shiiiiit, if I was a man that would keep my dick hard all day!

As a woman, u love the strength of a man. U love how makes u feel protected. u love that he can make sure you have what u need even if it means he gets no sleep and works 80 hours a week. U love how he towers over you and breaks your back in the bedroom. Well guess what? All that goes hand in hand with taking out the garbage, fixing shit, and being the man the kids don't wanna face when they messin up in school. Ok, so he don't really know how to cook that well, he leaves a couple dishes in the sink, he keeps leaving socks on the floor. SO WHAT! U try having the well being of ur family on ur shoulder all day and see how much u feel like bussin some suds! lol TAKE THE L.

So basically, a good man will appreciate a good woman and vise versa. But let's not forget what makes us attracted to eachother in the first place. A sense of belonging and fulfulling a certain role really keeps relationships together and keeps them healthy.

When I am at home on my down time I look like I am at home. If my boo is at my house 24-7 he is gonna see me not looking the hottest sometimes. That in my opinion is normal. I like to be comfortable in my palace. Going out is a different story. My boo is proud when I walk with him in the streets cause I know how to present myself. But if we at the house and we are together u gonna see the at home VICHICK and I stay with my wrap on my head. If it is a new relationship nucca wont see that shit. but if we been together for a while and we are in a serious relationship that wrap is coming out the drawer.

so true! there are a lot of angry, bittrer, single women out there who might wanna read this post! (not saying that all single are women are angry and bitter, just some of them) and also, you should want to have these qualities just for YOU...and the fact that thses traits are attractive to a man should just be an added bonus.

Yeah there are a lot of bitter woman but I think the way the other sex behaves is a direct reflection on the way their opposite sex behaves... like I think it's the females' fault why men are dogs and its the man's fault why females behave the way they do...

But yeah all woman should want to have this for them self too.

U no Xilla, u r so wise-I cant b leve ur still single-YOU must be choosy :) U r 1 of the only men that I have ever seen admit that mens behavior affects how a women behaves and visa versa. The reason I no this 2 is b/c the difference in how women who havent had their heart broken behave towards their men. I can admit that I have had my heart broken to mere fragments. Once u dust ur self off and move on u r forever changed. It takes a special person and some deep self cleansing 2 allow u 2 ever make urself vulnerable again. HOw TRUE!

I agree with what your stating in this post, but I also believe that a man should give out what he is looking for in return. A woman treats her man the way he treats her. So if your exxpecting dinner on the table every night and your not buying at least a box of rice to contribute then don't get mad when ol girl doesn't cook anything for dinner.

There are alot of good men and women out there but for some reason they end up finding the wrong one.

A man should def. give what he is expecting. In this day and age of BOTH partners working-then housework needs 2 b 50/50. I can cook bttr than my husband, but can he cook? Yes, then dammit cook what u no how 2 cook. U can contribute to the house. Any more marriage is a partnership a business deal (yes even if ur n luv u still weigh all ur options b4 u commit). You have to look @ gains vs. loses. What will I gain, what can he bring to the table that makes him worth having & keeping. I just think that if u r going to divide what jobs r 4 the women-then lay down the law 4 men 2.

i agree. i enjoy allowing my man to be a man. yes i know how to change a tire or fix my sink, but i enjoy allowing him ti play his role. i enjoy cooking and experimenting with meals or doing womanly things.... role association is NECESSARY for success.

I agree somewhat...my household is the same way though we now have older kids so they do most of the household work...but before they got old enough I did the cooking and cleaning and worked and went to school (ladies it is possible) and my husband did the taking the garbabge, fixing ish etc. But my neighbors it's the opposite and it works for them so that the most important thing doing what works for you so above all communication is the key and the ability to be flexible

True a lot of people do find the wrong person or just choose the wrong person. But I believe that there are just some things that woman should do! Like keep a clean house. I think cleaning the house is something that all women should do better than man and cook too.

Don't get me wrong I can cook but i just simply believe that a woman should be able to make a good dinner and if she can't cook she should be able to a) bring home groceries b) cook at least one meal that is off the damn chain

That's a hard one to find though... College Loans and credit in general is a trip. It's a recession. Shouldn't there be an age limit on when a person should have good credit.

There is good credit and bad credit.... School loans and that are good cause it will help you in the future. MAJOR Credit Card debt, or the inability to get a cell phone in your own name because you previously did not pay your $400 bill is a red flag.

Plus I know how to cook but I hate when a guy assumes tht b/c I'm slim tht I either don't know how to cook or eat like I'm on a diet lol. I love to eat & love to cook. Plus I keep a clean house & know how to handle kids.

And whether I'm having a laid back moment or getting ready to go out, I look good! ;)

girl i ddated dude a min and he popped the condom on me then proposed after i found out i was preg. i saids aWHAT?! noWAAAAY! headed right to the chopshop, handled my b-i, gotta pedicure and leg rub, and didn't speak to him again til ma rent was late. he wanted a baby more than anything and thought i'd make a cute one since i had good hair and my parents were mixed. i couldn't make this mess up!

girl my grandmothers empoloyees daughter [such a hood tree of relation right there] had a guy get her preg on purpose. cuz she's mixed. and they're all religious so she didn't get an abortion. the baby is absolutely amazingly handsome and he takes care of him but the ish is still wild 100's!

the problem is some men, even the good/smart ones, don't know that they want and need a good woman, with substance, we can after all be a bit of a challenge at times

I agree... first there has to be some attraction physically, but a conversation and potential wife/mother is just as important. (Also ladies if you already have a kid that is a HUGE sign of what mother you are/are going to be, so if you are out in the bars 4 days a week or talk about "dumping" off your kid so that we can hang out, you are taking great steps backwards) For me an education is a HUGE plus too. If you are educated it shows that you have the drive and motivation to get what you want.
Too many times I find a woman who does not meet these standards and even if I try to talk to them I still can never get myself into a relationship mode with them.

Exactly. I have never understood how women have a house full of kids but are NEVER With them. I know ppl that have children that I have NEVER seen b4 but u always catch them out and about. I'll never understand how they always have a man either. I couldnt be w/anyone that had a responsibility as big as being a parent that they Wouldnt commit their time to. Women AND men r guilty of this. It just seems more noticeable when women do it.

That has always tripped me out. Always out on the latest scene and never take care of their kids. I know a girl that left her 3 year old at home alone at nights so she could go to the club. I was shocked that a parent would do that. What the hell is the club giving away that you gotta leave your child all alone. Some folks should not be parents at all.

I believe it is because most of the time the females have the custody of a child. This day and age it is way too hard for the father to gain custody without police reports, hospital records, or drug convictions on the mother. It does work both ways though, but the father has an easier time to cover their children up if they do not have custody.

TRUE! i had a black guy be married and have a son, that his wife dropped off at my apt. he worked a job where i couldn't contact him til that night so i was DISGUSTED! i had to play with bam bam for hrs! i love kids but damn! some people shouldn't even be allowed to make 'em! specially when good parents are sterile. its all nutty.

Oh and as far as keeping yourself up just yesterday my husband was fussing at me cause when we went shopping he wanted to park in between two stores so we could walk back and forth I'm like fool do you see my heels and he was like well why hte hell did you wear them as he saying this we are pulling into a parking spot and this chick has on a dirty tee, some rolled over shoes and a head scarf and instanly he's like nevermind...lol
