The reason why a big butt is so important to women...and I'm speaking on behalf of black women is because we are sent subliminal, subtle and outright messages that this is the feature that makes us complete. That's the reason why we see so many females take those typical myspace pics. From movies, to music videos, to poems, to stories all describe the beautiful black body as incorporating a smooth round behind. It's come to the point where Black females with impressionable minds (i.e. young and old women with low self-esteems) feel that that is the only quality they have. It doesn't help when males ridicule them and eye that one feature, yet when a non-black female comes their way, they look at the whole package. I personally dealt with my years of wanting a bigger butt. I unfortunately was one of those girls who thought that would make me complete as a Black woman. Later on I realized, there's more to that in life and obviously, if a young man is solely approaching you for y our physical stats you may have to reconsider the potential relationship you'd want with him. Of course I've accepted that fact that the person I'm with may fantasize about being with another female with better physical stats and that's fine with me. I'm not the epitome of beauty the media and other outlets declare. I'm far from it and its perfectly fine. For me what's important is the respect I get from him and the communication dialogue is always burgeoning with new topics.

I got a big butt myself and I can tell you right now that I have trouble finding a pair of pants or jeans that actually fits well ( I live in Europe where they only make pants for people with little to no ass). I think that most women post pics of their butts on Myspace (and otherwise) b/c men, for the most part, always compliment a butt.

Check it, I can put up a pic of my booty with my face turned to the camera bearing a gorgeous smile...that pic will the most comments. I can take that same pic, crop it up and only show the smile, and it gets a lot of comments, but just not as many as the booty. Men (some) have a tendency to be obsessed with body...everything alludes to sex...and that's always a plus for men folk.

I'm a slim chick. I don't care to have a big video vixen booty b/c god gave me my proportions for a reason. But I'm not flat in the back either. I have two handfuls of booty and it suits me just fine ;)

And if I want to 'enhance' it, I'll do some squats and lunges so it can sit up higher than normal. Either way, the key is to maintain your butt. Exercise is key to have a nice looking booty (if u ask me). It doesn't need to be BIG, just nice looking. Cause w/ time gravity will kick in and that booty that men go crzy over will look like tht chick in the utube vid that DarknLovely atttached (and tht's not a good look) lol.

Everyone is saying girls want big butts b/c guys want it...but if guys wanted stupidity in a woman would we dumb down?! Hell to the naw!! lol.
