My first time was cool, I was 16 so was he. We had been best friends for like 2-3 years so we were both really comfortable, none of that awkward or embarassing ish happened. I was a virgin in my twenties, also and so were a lot of my friends. I don't think that it is rare to still find virgins, I think it just depends on where you are looking. Especially now, with the whole chastity/promise ring movement (check the fiasco at the MTV awards). Also, I feel that because of peer pressure, a lot of teens lie about not being virgins when they actually are.

I just couldn't see myself having sex in someone's mama's house. That is just gross and disrespectful to me. Call me old fashioned, but I have just always felt that a child should stay in a child's place, so I waited until I was grown and in my own place. Wouldn't change a thing, I never had to worry about VD or pregnancies. I was just young and carefree---sometimes I miss those times. Also, I took care of the first time "awkwardness" for females, on my own--with a dildo. So the guy never knew he was my first. I also had no love for him. I just felt that, at that point, I was way old and wanted to get it over with already.
