Hey Xilla,

Watched both interviews..I like both individuals as artists plus I love Rih's stylists cuz she is one of the flyest people on the planet (next to my favorite miss amber rose)..

Chris' interview, as with them all, really didnt go into detail about the whole incident and I know its because he was the agressor and I am pretty sure it was because they got wind of her pending interview. That is expected but Rihanna's interview...hummmmm.. I want to believe the best but FINALLY doing an interview two weeks before your album is about to drop is something that makes it seem so insincere. I am not going to go so far as to say that the WHOLE thing was staged or she didnt mean what she was saying because there are a LOT of things goin on behind the scenes and I feel that her managers couldve even told her when to do the interview for all we know. What I am saying is that NOW you wanna be the voice? Nine months later? You wanna be an advocate NOW?

It just seemed so suspect and there were times when she was lyin like when she said she never hit him even though there have been numerous sites who read off the police report where she said she hit him first. I dont think this justifies him beating her so badly but at the same time, she dont need to put her hands on no one. Im sorry, we gotta look at the men of this generation. They aint takin that no more. Wrong or right, that is just how it is. I felt that her interview was what some people were waiting for but to me, it was a bunch of publicity and seemed very insincere.

Oh yeah, I just found it strange, too, that she said she never seen the apology interview (which i found it hard to believe, but not impossible). When she said that it sounded like he was reading off a teleprompter.. I was like this girl aint foolin no one. I mean, of ALL the things she could've said, the first thing just happened to be the same thing that everyone else has been saying? I mean, really? To ME that just made me look at her kind of sideways. I dont know..

I am very upset about her interview. Yes she said all the right things to be human. But come on now, RiRi has had time to travel over to Paris for fashion week, go from LA to NY on a number of times, and even kick it with Jay-z in clubs. But now all of a sudden when her album is about to drop she wants to do an Interview with GMA and 20/20?? Get that mess out of here!

I absolutely abhor men who hit women, but I do believe he was pushed too far - being controlled & manipulated by TWO older women

While it sucks that this situation is so public it can actually serve as a benefit to him in that the spotlight forces him to get help whereas if this situation had remained behind closed doors he would be less likely to get help

He's young and inexperienced which makes him malleable - he can turn this around if he takes it seriously enough and gets the help he needs - hopefully he'll have people in his corner who will focus on that instead of focusing on who can score more points with the public

I'm sick of people who suggest that he should sit down somewhere out of the spotlight. This is his profession, what he does for a living. If he's not fit to entertain because of what he did, is he fit to drop our fries or hold the pickles on our double cheeseburger??? What would we have him do to continue to support himself (and his family) if we take away his ability to practice his craft? SMDH

Not gonna watch the interview but I may buy his album, just because

This interview is not just for the ladies, it's very instructive for the boys / men. It's probably the best Chris Brown interview I've seen to date. He seems to understand a bit more now than before.

I just wish that he would accept that although he and Rihanna were both trapped in a cycle of abuse from a childhood they didn't create for themselves, the fact is, he cannot tell her how to heal from the vicious beating he gave her. You can't reap all the benefits from being famous and yet not want to deal with the negative aspects as well, esp. when you put your love on front street.

Rihanna was in a daze she's just now coming out of; and although they were both present, they had different experiences and she is entitled to HER way of healing, which includes telling her story. I mean, come on...

Anyway, they both are in need of deep counseling (and I don't mean that in a negative way, they were both victims of domestic violence and trapped in a cycle of abuse by their parents) and I wish them the best.

Okay, a few things Blogxilla:
1. She was lying to him about the *resentment* and negative feelings she had for him but she was also lying to herself because she didn't want to face the pain of what it really meant---their relationship was over. Later, she said she does *NOT* hate him and wishes the best for him, especially to grow up and accept responsibility LIKE A MAN.

2. An apology and accepting the consequences for one's actions are two different things. Chris keeps apologizing to her (in person, via song, via Twitter) but he needs to *ACCEPT* that he messed up, big time and lost what could be the love of his life because he refused (and continues to refuse) to confront his demons.

3. Forgiveness and reconciliation are two different things. Personally, I have never been hit by a man; but there has been other damage done and while I forgive, the fact that some men refuse to accept full responsibility and consequences for their actions means there is no reconciliation. He could at least earn my respect from that point forward, although we'll never be together. This is what Rihanna is talking about.

Chris's narcissism won't allow him to stop feeling sorry for himself and he's mainly looking out for his career. But it would actually soar if he accepted responsibility.

4. He WAS reading when he did that video. It might as well have been a plea in the court of law. There is a HUGE diff between Chris speaking impromptu on Larry King and Chris speaking all eloquent (LOL) on the video. He was reading, bruh, and it's not cold hearted to recognize that. She knew her man was a lil' inarticulate, can't fully express himself, which is another reason why he acts out violently.

i agree! im not sure if her lines were rehearsed or was she actually sincere, but something in the interview was a little off... i, personally, think it was for publicity for her album since she's been walking aimlessly around and whatnot for the past few months. So idk. Dont get me wrong, she said the right things & it did make her seem more human. But her blurting out one word answers seemed just "awkward." Anyway, I wish her & CB the best in both their careers.

I haven't watched either of their interviews, not worth my time to watch people spin/withhold/lie to the public over something that's none of our business anyway...

I think they both need to stop talking about it publicly, they need to talk to their respective counselors and get their heads right...eff what the public thinks

My opinion however, I believe she did hit him (that day and times prior to that day), it doesn't excuse his behavior because if it's true He should have left Her after the first time.

But I've said it before and I'll say it again, I firmly believe "If you bad enough to hit, you're bad enough to get hit back".

You can't raise your hand to someone and expect that just because you're at some physical disadvantage be it gender, size or age or anything that gives you less of an advantage will be the thing to make that other person control themselves cause you knew your limitations goin in and you went anyway, accept the consequences of your actions.

As I watched it, I felt that something just wasn't right. As if there was an elephant in the room that everyone knew was there but didn't acknowledge. I wonder exactly why she decided to speak now? Could it be that her album will be out soon? Doing the interview could backfire if people feel that she did it for publicity and not to share her experience with others. I wish the both of them well in life, but I don't think we (as in the public) will ever know what really happened.
