A symptom of bacterial vaginosis is a fishy vag. It's a really common problem (kind of like a yeast infection when the regular bacteria down there get out of control.) I think a lot of women think their vaginal oder is nasty and to be avoided, it's intimated by our mothers and perfume sprays you see at the drugstore. So when it's nasty they think it's because their vag is nasty, not because it's a real disease!
I usually love the way my vagina smells, if it's nasty I feel gross until it's back to normal. I feel gross every day throughout my period too.

Ok I am a female and I am going to put it to the point. True, we can smell it, but you have to realize something. Most of the time we get that smell from most of the guys who we think are being faithful and go sleep with other females. Most men do not know that when they are sleeping around that is how it is past MOST OF THE TIME. Other times it is from using soaps that have the dye and perfumes in them which makes women hormones out of whack! MOST OF THE TIME. Also, don't forget the men washing with soap like BODYWASH has the same effect. Women also can get that smell from not drinking enough water and getting an (UTI) urinary tract infection. SO, the next a guy wants to say that stinks make sure you know why? I am 29 yrs old and I have had it a couple times, but that is because I thought I had a faithful man. That was BULLSHIT! Plus I made sure I did not have any other diseases since he was sleeping around.

Well, Xilla, I am fortunate to not have a guy tell me that I smell foul down there. But I will co-sign with the rest of the readers and say that it could be a bigger issue as to working out at the gym that makes her punanny stink. It could be bacterial vaginosis, it could be a yeast infection. She should definitely get that checked out and talk to her GYN about that because all the douching and FDS in the world can not get rid of that.

all u have to do is let the person know without being rude to take a shower or freshen up, it might be embarrassing for the person but its better to be told that by someone they care about or love, as opposed to a complete stranger that their stuff stinks...it's tru that no woman can say they're perfect and they're stuff don't eva stink, and if they tell a bold faced lie and say it don't....they are lying to ya, it happens to every woman around that time of the month, during that period (no pun intended) and like u mentioned after a day at the gym, sumtimes if they have sex and dont wash it out, etc. it's nothing to be ashamed of cuz it happens to all women, but to take precautions i suggest a woman take cleasning wipes with her in the purse, or w/e it's discret, u can go and freshen up before u meet up for a session...i would not suggest a woman take a douce (i think thats how it is spelled) b/c it is not good for your hygiene...if nothing works and i say that it smells everytime, even if u wash it out, add spray, etc. it could be a sign of a bacterical disease or something more serious so u might want to hit up that OBGYN
