I personally don't believe in this method it is "a bit" faulty. I know a few couples who use it all the time and it hurts me just watching my friends stress out about if she pregnant or not.
Nowadays, to me, it seem the new form of commitment is to have unprotected sex with your partner which makes since but not the good kind.

But I think it is different with different girls...
Even though I recommend you don't leave it up to this method with a jump off...but with a jump off you are alot more conscious and alot more worried about any mishaps...so pull out options rarely fails

But with a certified wifey, you are more susceptible to leaving the monkey in the jungle, because the relationship is more sacred and the bond is stronger...

so I think it is all relative..

Will you teach your kids about the pull out method encourage them to use it? Why not just make sure birth control is used?

I didn't say STD per say but I did stress the fact that you should be in a committed relationship and I also state that i never experience unprotected sex with them.

If you read the link in the planned parenthood which i reference you would see that these are facts from the site. Birth Control messes with a woman's mind and helps her choose men that are bad for her... that link is also in the set of links i referenced in the blog.

Please don't bring my kids in on a discussion i feel like that is a low blow. Understand I am a regular person.

Why even take a chance if you don't want a baby with a woman then protect yourself more than 4%.

Oh and being in a "committed" relationship doesn't exlude you from getting diseases, ask the thousands of married women and men that have AIDS and got it from thier "committed" spouse. I wouldn't risk my life for some sex.

As for comments on the pullout method. I can dig the statistics, but if not having kids is the real plan, I wouldn't take the chance with this method. Like Sierra said, that's when the groove is getting good, and like Lioness said she just might hold on and not let go. And I might not mind. When I am in a committed relationship and am sure (or at least as sure as I can be) that we are only sexing each other than I prefer not to use condoms. Fortunately for me, because I decided that I ain't having no kids, I took care of the birth control situation from my end, if you know what I mean. Now, when I am fortunate enough to be in a LTR, we can do it au naturale and my lady doesn't have to worry about the effects of birth control, in all it's forms.

Please don't be condescending with the "sweetie" you were being facetious by even stating your comment of "what WILL you do for some sex" so obviously my comment about my personal choice to wait for a specific amount of time bothered you. And on top of that I believe on the previous post your whole point og questioning was you were wondering how I came up with that specific number which i believe I answered and that ended the line of questioning and we were cool. So for you to bring it up in this post which has nothing to do with the amount of time I wait to have sex that tells me you were being less than cordial and quite sarcatsitc with the comment. If you don't care what I do with sex, then don't worry about how uptight I sound or how uptight I am and don't ask.

You can ask me anything. No I don't have any kids. I decided at a very young age that I didn't want to have kids. I actually tried to get it done when I was like 21, but the doctor refused. He said ther4e was no way I knew what I wanted at that age. So I waited 10 years to see if he was right. He wasn't so I got it done. And I still don't want kids. I love them and all and I'm a great uncle and i'm everybodies godfather but none for me please. Sorry this got long winded.

This is the most ignorant thing I've read ever. No offense. It's not an attack on you, but the notion or the idea, which a lot of men have, is wrong. I've gotten pregnant most likely twice this way and while I was married, it was still a huge WTF just happened moment. The only way for the "pull out" method to work, and that's really not the name is based on factors like time of month, ovulation cycle, body temperature and a host of other issues. Basically just use a damned condom.

Xilla I knwo a lot of people have said that it was light hearted, etc. but on the real, black women in the South were suffering from HIV/AIDS out of anywhere in the country with embarassingly high numbers. We are dealing with something that is near almost epidemic proportions, nobody cares because these are black women. With that said, I think it's important to stress the importance of responsibility. There are one too many black parents who are not in the picture and just plain doing a shitty job. When some black folks talk about sex they're just ignorant with it, taking on the what care I attitude. That ish is failing us for real. When are we going to place value on the important things? If you're not only in a seriously committed relationship, but are sure that things are 100% in order and you know that you would have no problem marrying that person eventually, then I can dig. But just for a casual boyfriend or jumpoff, it's extremely irresponsible. Then these will be the same chicks talking shit about their baby daddies and how much they suck because he missed like 10 child support payments.

I went and got birth control because my ex insisted on the pull out method.....he was a pro at pulling out, but I wasn't trying to risk a pregnancy while in college. Strange thing is that when I told him he seemed offended.....I found it pretty selfish that he would put pleasure over common sense, especially since he said he didn't want to have children ever.

Additionally, after we broke up, I went and got tested for any STDs........thank God those were clean.

Moral of my story: If you are going to do it raw, do it with someone you trust and be sensible about it.

The Pull out method hasn't failed me... there have been a few times where I got caught up in the moment but best believe he was pushed off and forced into a condom. And reading all the previous comments people have touched on some important points about STDs in the black community esp back home,in the Deep South, but at the same time people lets speak to our children about sex before they seek advice on the internet. Lets not shame children with religion for wanting to explore their bodies. I don't have any kid but I would rather teach them how to be safe then pass judgment on what they are ultimately going to do with or without my approval. I will get off my soapbox now.

I mean it all sounds good my man but I only suggest it if you and your partner have gotten tested together and both of you get clean results. Then at that point I am for good clean sex. But I say only use the pullout method if you ready and can afford the consequences. But I definitely know that good ol bare feeling me and my ex used to go all natural all the time and whew that shit felt so fuckin good. when i went back to using condoms it took me forever to blast off. so beware that bare back feeling can have you hooked. use with precautions it aint for amateurs
