The most important thing is, are you being true to yourself about who you are and what you want to do? After you have answered that, then get your grown woman on. honestly i dont know the situation of why he went "away", but i always told myself that if my dude went "away" i couldnt promise that i'd wait for him and i would hope he would not expect me to wait for him, especially if he put himself in that situation. if thats the case, it is cheating but do you. i dont think he should expect you to put your life on hold. of course if he wasnt totally in the wrong, then its prolly another story, and im not entirely sure what i would do.
