Good question, and that is where it gets kind of deep and I hate to apply a double standard but it's different....Men are all about ego! That MY pussy... straight up...and More times than not for a woman a physical relationship has some kind of emotional connection because women are emotional it's in their nature...Men are natural conquerors, explorers... looking for something new...woman are naturaly the opposite they like security...Guys goal is to hit as many bad chicks as he can... Womens goal generally is to get married. So we naturally different. However, There are some women who think like men and If I had a woman like that who could just get her a taste of something different and that be that...no emotions involved I think it would still hurt..but not as bad. My ego would be damaged though I can't front. Women don't have the ego problem we have which makes it different.

Hey Mistareal, I have a question (and scouts honor I'm not asking in a neck twistin, eyerollin, confrontational way :-D)

I honestly want to know how, or if, the theory of human nature works in reverse...if a woman just wanted something different, no disrespect, didn't remember the guys name etc, would that be ok, would men be able to accept it?

I ask because generally women are more forgiving when it comes to being cheated on, men once they find out their girl has cheated are more likely to cut her off immediately...how does the whole human nature thing apply when it comes to forgiving or accepting that your woman has been human?

Xilla, Im a married man and I have never cheated in my life.. but I have had thoughts of stepping out on my wife! I love her to death.. she's a great woman and Im happy most of the time but....I agree I think it's natural for men to cheat... (I have not so far). You could have a beautiful family, money, status....yet you still get that manly urge to "concor" something else... It's no disrespect to your wife.. sometimes a man needs something different. A man can hit a chick and forget her name...(I have before)... I think if woman understood that its just for a nut... it means nothing... they wouldnt take it so harshly

You speak of men in the bible having multiple wives....that's not cheating. That's having multiple wives who are accepting of your decision and need for more than one woman. But if you cheat you're not giving the other person the option to decide for themselves.

Not saying that I'm "holier than thou". I've been on both sides of the argument. At the end of the day it's just wrong......IMHO

I dont know about this Xilla... I'm new here an all but I can't condone cheating... I can't lie and say I never done it myself but that sure as hell dont make it right... Everyone is so quick to say they are a grown ass man/woman but if you are truly are a mature adult you should possess the skills to articulate yourself and say you want out before you start "doin you"... no judgement... just my opinion... they are like assholes you know... First, you should know the person you're cheating on b/c you can fvck around and end up moneyless, jobless, homeless, limbless and...in some (unfortunate) cases, lifeless. I'll even throw in some extras to your list:

(1) Don't cheat on "quiet" girls...they're devious

(2) Don't share accounts / use the same account that you share with your s/o when you're with the side piece

(3) Use cash, if at all possible

(4) Get online banking statements; don't have that ish coming to your home

(5) Be confident in your relationship...a sure sign that you are cheating is when you start asking unwarranted questions about your s/o

(6) Don't tell anyone who knows you that you're cheating...men are just as "scandalous" as women w/ secrets

(7) Don't have your side piece around your fam and don't be around your side piece's fam & friends (I think that piggy backs off of a couple of your tips above)

(8) Don't leave your wallet/purse laying around (wat if your s/o finds the new bank card/receipts from the ATM machine?)

(9) Buy your s/o stuff! It's harder to believe you're being cheated on if gifts are being sent your way, esp. in this economy.

(10)...yea...I've got nothing else.

Different strokes different folks, what works for you may not work for me. We can agree that we disagree on this topic. We are shaped by our experiences. Growing up I watched a friends family fall apart because the father was unfaithful. I saw the hurt and was always there for her. That is why i will not do it. It does not appear to be fruitful and more times than not someone always gets hurt. I am not holier than though. I just refuse to disrespect the woman I am with, myself and the woman I would be cheating with. If that is what you do have at it. Also, It is not unnatural to be faithful. It requires self control. But again, we disagree and I can live with that.

I love when people quote the commandments when most people in the world do not live by ALL of them. How do you pick and choose? You're 100% right, but one thing you must know about my site, is that 1 it's mine and 2 I touch on ALL issues of relationships and sex, and this just happens to be about cheating. Not about why you shouldn't cheat. Which I wrote about before and on numerous other occasions.

Now before anyone else tries to say this. Cheating is wrong, but the fact remains we have all cheated or been cheated on. So this is why I talk about this topic. Because people cheat!

It's funny how you mentioned that some men in the bible had multiple wives but failed to mention that "Do not commit adultry" & "thou shall not covet thy neighbors wife or anything of thy neighbor's" are also 2 of the 10 commandments. Or how about "You reap what you saw" which is also a scripture in the Holy bible....I mean just look at what happened to steve mcnair & his jumpoff situation, which was devastating. If something is immoral or wrong & you admit to that fact why try & justify it. If murder is wrong & you know that why would you still try & make excuses for it. At least take responsiblity & say 'I know what I'm doing is wrong but I don't care because I don't live by any moral standard or any standard at all'.... I'm not being judgmental or 'holier than thou' I'm just saying...
